Some bible stories have a play on words that you can apply to your life for example:
David said he killed the Lion and the Bear
Could it be we can also kill the LION -- That one that goes about as a Roaring Lion accusing you in your soul. Speaking his lies contrary to God's truth making you believe God is mad or upset with you. Maybe he's just LION to you! So kill him by declaring the TRUTH about how God sees you Perfected In Christ Jesus.
Could it be you can also kill the BEAR -- The one that would claw and tear at your soul. Accusing you with the accusations in your mind, that because of the weakness you see in your flesh, that you are unworthy in God's eyes. The Bear would liketo tear away your Robe of Righteousness by trying to get you law or sin conscious making you feel BEAR (Bare) and naked and unworthy to approach your Father God who loves you so much. You have to kill the BEAR (Bare) just like the Lion by declaring the TRUTH how Jesus' sacrifice made you righteous and worthy.
If you don't do that with the thoughts and words of your mouth the LION and BEAR will be munching on your soul for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
By default if you don't do as instructed above it's like telling the adversary you can devour me and he will assault your soul without mercy.
