"Moments To Go"
If Heaven were to close its doors
And not open them again
Which side would you--find yourself on
On the outside or the in.
Would you find yourself surrounded
Basking in the Light of Love
Or would terror grip your very soul
As darkness moved in like a flood.
Reflect on this a moment
And remember this my friend
A lifetime’s--just a string of many moments
That start somewhere and somewhere end.
How many moments--do you have
A billion, zillion--or--a few
A wise man uses time wisely
He squanders it--not like a fool.
He thinks and even ponders
As he beholds this Universe
There must be a Creator
And He surely must have planned things first.
A fool says--”I’ll live like I please
It matters not--to me”
Then when he least expects it
His moments are up you see.
The wise man says I must seek God
And find His Will for me
For time is short--Just Moments To Go
I must fulfill--my destiny.
How many moments do I have
O friend I do not know
But every moment--that I live
Is a moment--Him I owe.
And not open them again
Which side would you--find yourself on
On the outside or the in.
Would you find yourself surrounded
Basking in the Light of Love
Or would terror grip your very soul
As darkness moved in like a flood.
Reflect on this a moment
And remember this my friend
