"Recognizing You"
To the blind man he was the Face of God
To the deaf he was God's Ear
To the dumb he was the Voice of God
Things always changed when he was near
To Lazarus he was The Resurrection
To Jairus he was Hope
To Judas he was the means to an end
But his end was the end of a rope
To the Sanhedrin he was a Rebel
To the foolish he was despised
But to them who needed a miracle
He was God's blessing in human disguise
Can it be that you too need a blessing
Can it be that it may be disguised
So it would do you good to humble yourself
And pray "Oh Lord" let me please recognize
Let me recognize you in a moment
However Lord you do appear
For Lord when we recognize you
To us is Salvation brought near
Let me see with the vision of Jesus
Let me think the very thoughts of his heart
Let me move with the compassion of Jesus
And by doing so bless my father's heart
Let me recognize you in the needy
Let me recognize you in the poor
Let me recognize you in the outcast
Then let me reach out to you and restore
Let me sow seeds of mercy where needed
Let me give of my goods to the poor
Let me reachout and draw in the outcast
As I recognize you in them "Oh Lord"
To the deaf he was God's Ear
To the dumb he was the Voice of God
Things always changed when he was near
