"ROADBLOCKS"

Scripture verses are often referred to as scripture passages. They are in reality PASSAGES just like roads --- roads of understanding that lead you to a greater revelation of your true identity. They can lead you to a  greater understanding of God's love for you. These roads or PASSAGES often times contain ROADBLOCKS. These ROADBLOCKS are in our understanding of that PASSAGE of scripture.

The ROADBLOCKS are usually placed there by religious teachings we have learned or been exposed to in our early Christian walk. The passage of scripture may be used in teaching by a preacher or priest depending on what type of church you attend. They will quote that verse and give you their understanding or explanation of what that verse means. Many times their understanding will be wrong. That's not to say they are not trying or meaning to do you a disservice it's often times the way they have been taught in their particular denomination etc. They've heard it that way all their life and if the things they have been taught were not by inspiration of the Holy Ghost then all they'll have is natural man's interpretation. If you hear their version or understanding often enough that's all you'll know.  That natural understanding or interpretation if it is wrong has then become a ROADBLOCK in your mind. That is because every time you read that verse of scripture your understanding will see it as you have been taught regardless of what it's true or deeper meaning might be when  expounded upon by the Holy Ghost.

As you continue to walk with God and desire a more intimate fellowship with him you will sometime be reading your bible and a passage of scripture will suddenly seem to come alive and you will really know what that verse or passage is saying. The reason it comes alive is because the Holy Ghost has imparted revelation knowledge to you. It is this type of revelation that makes you free. The ROADBLOCK that was in your understanding has been removed and TRUTH has replaced it. It happens so fast it's like in the Twinkling Of An Eye and you just know that you know. That TRUTH then becomes engrafted in you and it cannot be twisted away from you.
