Many years ago after my conversion experience I began to receive poems in my spirit. Some were just simple understandings about God's love. As time went on many poems caused a greater than just a surface understanding of the scriptures. Some came to wake me up to religious practices that I had once thought were correct and were actually decieving people that loved God but couldn't see the deception. Below this I will share a few poems that the Holy Ghost gave me along with the description of the events that seemed to inspire the poems. I hope you find the poems enjoyable as well as informative as they should shed some light on some questionable religious practices and con's. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. MAGIC BEADS One day I opened my mail to find a form letter from a large ministry. In the envelope was what looked like a miniature set of rosary beads with a cross attached. It was just cheap plastic. I believe the letter said to wear it overnight and then return it in the envelope provided. The evangelist was going to take them to some prayer mountain or something like that and pray over your prayer requests. You were also to engage or activate your faith by sending $37 in as seed for your harvest.
Well after reading the letter almost immediately a poem came rising up and I began to write down what the Holy Ghost within me was saying. It's called: MAGIC BEADS
I may not have a rabbits foot But I've got Magic Beads A point of contacts--what they said But sounds like sorcery
Just wear the beads around your neck And God will surely see To make sure that the beads work fast Send to me some seed ($37.00)
Money--Money--Money--Money Enough to meet your needs I've lost my faith in rabbits foot Now I've got Magic Beads
Is this what Jesus said they'd do To con men--one and all They'd twist the truth of His Great Love And cause great men to fall
That truth would perish from their lips They'd make merchandise of you Yes--I'm sure--That's what he said And your heart knows that it's true
Your heart knows it's deception Cunningly crafted lies No better than a rabbits foot In a Magic Bead disguise ------------------------------- If I remember correctly I sent their beads back without any money but I did include a copy of this poem knowing it would be processed in something comparable to a call center. I hoped the person opening the mail might wake up to the truth. I also attached a final verse directed to that person. If I were you--Here's what I'd do As I turned around to leave I'd tell the boss--I've counted the cost And it's Jesus Now--For Me
