Most people never hear the word righteousness let alone what it really means biblically. It means you can stand in the Presence of God with the same right standing as Jesus Christ. It's as if you never sinned a sin, blameless, holy, unreprovable IN HIS SIGHT. It's a spiritual thing so regardless how others see you in the flesh, they see your flaws, they see you as less than perfect but God sees a circumcised heart. To him that is priceless! You can't do enough good works to be righteous in God's sight. You can go to church every time the door opens. You can do everything you can think of to act good but without God's Righteousness it's like filthy rags--that is--until you receive his free gift. His gift to you is JESUS and the Blood he shed on the cross when he was made to be sin to be the payment in full for all your sins-past-present and future. He came not to condemn you but to save you from your sins. He's the best friend you'll ever have and he will prove that to you over time. You'll see! He knows your heart my friend and every wrong thought you have entertained and every thing you've done wrong. Even those done wrong on purpose and he loves you in spite of those things and desires to have you as his friend. He wants you to know him in a real personal way not just as a historical Jesus but as a real and right now living friend. As you give him your heart he'll give you his and his love is really indescribable. It will be the best trade you've ever made.
Romans 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
Romans 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
Romans 5:16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
Romans 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
Romans 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one thefree gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
Romans 5:19 For as by one man's (ADAM) disobedience many were made sinners,so by the obedience of one (Jesus Christ) shall many be made righteous.
