"THE RACE"
I was running the race with Anxiety
I'd left Patience far behind
I grew tired - worn out - exhausted
And Joy - I couldn't find
I could her her in the distance
She was calling unto me
But with Anxiety making so much noise
I thought she was ahead not behind me
I ran and I grew weary
Then I walked and I grew faint
Running like this without His Joy
Is no life for a saint
I told Anxiety where to go
That for Patience I would wait
At least with him I could catch my breath
He might be slow but he's never late
To my surprise when he caught up
I found Joy right by his side
And there was Jesus running with them
With a grin about this wide
It seems he spoke unto my heart
Come on and run with me
It's much more fun to run with us
Than with Anxiety
You'll laugh and have a lot of fun
And just you wait and see
You'll cross the finish line long before
Worn out Anxiety
I'd left Patience far behind
I grew tired - worn out - exhausted
And Joy - I couldn't find
I could her her in the distance
She was calling unto me
But with Anxiety making so much noise
I thought she was ahead not behind me
I ran and I grew weary
Then I walked and I grew faint
Running like this without His Joy
Is no life for a saint
